Wine and design intertwine amidst contaminations and inspirations.
During Milan Design Week – which took place from April 15th to 21st alongside the Salone del Mobile and with numerous initiatives spread throughout the city – the wines of Alto Adige made their debut for the first time with the aim of meeting the large international audience revolving around the world of furniture, art, and architecture. The fresh white wines, elegant red wines, and sparkling wines from Alto Adige were the protagonists of the events organized for the occasion by the prestigious publishing house Hearst Italia. The Alto Adige wines were the wine partners of the Elle Decor Material Home exhibition in Milan, held at Palazzo Bovara, and were featured in the opening day and special vernissage by invitation on Friday evening, one of the most anticipated events of the entire week, which saw great participation from the selected audience; some Alto Adige labels also delighted guests at the event organized by Marie Claire Maison at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, GAM within Villa Reale di Via Palestro, to present the project “La Casa dell’Architetto”. The connection between design and wine has proven successful; after all, in Alto Adige, it is very strong, and the region is famous not only for the quality of its wines but also for the architectural projects – which increasingly often show a harmonious blend of different styles – of many Estates and Wineries, attracting visitors from all over the world.
