Demeter Italia at Terra Madre to celebrate 100 years of biodynamics . Great success for Demeter Italia at Terra Madre – Salone del Gusto, an international event organized by SlowFood from September 26 to 30 at Parco Dora in Turin. The association, which brings together biodynamic producers, distributors and processors, participated in the event as an official partner with a full calendar of appointments to explore and learn more about biodynamic agriculture: from soil fertility to the therapeutic garden, from infusions and essences to the relationship with animals, both domestic and farm animals. At the event booth, certified biodynamic companies showcased their products-honey, herbal teas, juices…-through tastings and sales. Moreover, two Taste Workshops were held, one dedicated to honey and the other to wine, during which guests could taste Demeter products.  The most important moment of the 5-day event was the conference “Agriculture that cultivates well-being: for 100 years biodynamics has been regenerating the earth and nourishing health,” which was attended by more than 200 people. Moderated by Anna Prandoni, writer and editor of Linkiesta Gastronomika, the conference featured prominent speakers, including Barbara Nappini, president of Slow Food; Piero Bevilacqua, writer and essayist; Sergio Maria Francardo, anthroposophical physician; Helmy Abouleish, president of the Sekem agricultural project in Egypt; and Enrico Amico, president of Demeter Italia.
